Meet the Los Angeles Team Behind Servo Garage Doors Los Angeles

We’re the crew that answers when your garage door stops halfway up in Echo Park or won’t budge at 6 a.m. in Sherman Oaks. Servo Garage Doors Los Angeles has been fixing, installing, and replacing doors across this city since 2015, and the people on this page are the ones who actually show up. We’re independently owned and operated under The Haven Standard, which means every one of us works to the same written rules: price before work, photo record before we leave, and a fix that stays fixed. No rotating cast of subcontractors. Same names, same faces, same trucks.

Our People

Marcus Deller, Owner

Marcus started Servo in 2015 after a decade turning wrenches for other garage door companies and getting tired of watching homeowners get quoted one number over the phone and a different one at the door. So he built the company around a single rule: the price you’re quoted is the price you pay, written down before the first tool comes off the truck. That’s Clause 1 of The Haven Standard, and it’s non-negotiable. Marcus still rides along on jobs most weeks, mostly the ugly ones: snapped torsion springs in 1920s garage frames, track misalignment on sloped driveways in Mount Washington, opener logic boards fried by salt air near the coast. He’ll tell you the spring measured 0.225-inch wire diameter and broke clean at the coil, and he’ll tell you what that costs to replace. Not much else. When something on a 90-year-old door actually surprises him, he’ll say one dry sentence about it and get back to work.

Tony R., Lead Technician

Tony has been with Servo since 2017 and handles the heaviest repair work we get: broken torsion springs, snapped cables, doors off their tracks. Before this, he spent six years doing commercial overhead doors, so he’s comfortable with the big stuff: 14-foot steel doors in warehouses, high-cycle springs on parking garage doors, the kind of equipment that fights back if you don’t respect it. Tony is certified on LiftMaster and Chamberlain opener systems and can rebuild a logic board most techs would swap out. He lives in Alhambra with his dog, a rescue mutt named Sparky, and he’s the guy who insists on re-tensioning springs twice before he calls a job done. His truck is the cleanest one in the fleet, which is either discipline or superstition. He won’t say which.

Rosa M., Lead Installer

Rosa joined the team in 2019 and has installed more than 3,000 doors since, most of them in the older neighborhoods where nothing is square: Silver Lake bungalows, West Adams craftsman homes, garages that have settled an inch and a half since the 1940s. She’s the one we send when a new door has to fit a frame that isn’t plumb and a ceiling that isn’t level. Rosa specializes in full-door and opener installations across all eight brands we service, and she’s our Amarr and Wayne Dalton factory-trained installer. She works with a laser level and a torque wrench, and she photographs every bracket before she mounts it, which is exactly what Clause 4 requires. When she’s not on a ladder, she’s teaching kickboxing in Lincoln Heights. Fitting, because she’s also the person who talks clients through the difference between a bad photo eye and a bad wire with more patience than anyone else on the crew.

Danny K., Service Coordinator

Danny is the voice on the phone at 2 a.m. when your door is stuck open and you can’t sleep. He’s been answering Servo’s lines since 2020, and he knows the dispatch map of Los Angeles better than most cab drivers: how long to get from Atwater Village to Pasadena at 3 p.m. on a Tuesday, which tech is closest to Culver City on a Friday night. Before this, Danny worked parts counters at an HVAC supply house, so he’s fluent in part numbers and better than anyone at explaining to a homeowner why a replacement logic board costs what it costs. He speaks English and Spanish, keeps a printed copy of The Haven Standard at his desk, and will read Clause 1 aloud to a customer if they’ve ever been burned by a ballpark quote. He’s also the reason every customer gets a named technician and an on-the-way text instead of a vague callback window.

Maria G., Apprentice Technician

Maria joined in 2024 as our first formal apprentice under Tony. She came from a background in property maintenance, so she already knew how to carry herself on a ladder and which end of a socket wrench goes where. Now she’s learning the trade the way Tony learned it: watch a job done right, do it under supervision, then do it alone and have it inspected. She’s already handling sensor alignments, roller replacements, and weather seal installs on her own, and she’s working toward her opener certification. Maria grew up in the San Fernando Valley and has an encyclopedic memory for driveway angles in Studio City and Valley Glen. She takes the photo record on every job she’s part of, because that’s the rule, and she’s the one who catches the small stuff: a hinge with one loose screw, a track bolt that’s backed out a quarter inch. The stuff that fails a year later if nobody touches it.

One Standard, Every Job

One Standard, Every Job

Five people, different roles, same set of rules. That’s the whole structure. The Haven Standard isn’t a poster on the wall; it’s a set of clauses we work to, and every person on this page can tell you what they are. Clause 1: a flat, written price and written scope before any work begins. No call-for-a-quote, no ballpark, no surprises at the end. Clause 4: a documented photo record of what we found and what we did, delivered on every visit, so you see the failed torsion spring or the worn trolley carriage before anyone quotes a replacement. Clause 5: background-checked, uniformed technicians on every job, with a license number on the page, not buried in fine print. Clause 7: the 365-Day Done Right Promise. If it’s not right, we make it right. Not because of a handshake. Because the terms are written down and we agreed to them. That’s what’s kept us in business in Los Angeles since 2015, and it’s what every new technician learns before they ever start their truck in the morning.
